蓋天忽降絮華霜
冬月流寒北國鄕
暮色沈沈空素白
晚燈點點綴銀妝
歸途望遠車緩路
窄道環迴雪擁牆
前處迷濛雲起浪
吾家掩映小茅莊

Homeward bound in a snowstorm - heptasyllabic regulated octet
Fluffy flakes suddenly from heaven fall,
Chilly month of the North, deep in a snowy squall.
Fading dusk, lost in a white overall,
Whilst distant lights, sparkle in a silvery void.
Homeward bound I drive, traffic slowed and stalled,
Winding alleyways, engulfed by snow banks and walls.
Yonder heaps of wavy cloud I spot, after all,
Flickering lights of my thatched hut, in awe.
